Rockhopper Digital builds WordPress websites for businesses in West Kent and the Weald, including Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Cranbrook, Hawkhurst and Tenterden. The studio is in Robertsbridge, a few miles from the Kent border, and has built and supports websites for The Gallery and Bora Studio in Tunbridge Wells.
Overview
Robertsbridge is in East Sussex, but only just. Hawkhurst is a short drive north, and Cranbrook, Tenterden and Tunbridge Wells are all within about half an hour.
Kent is a big county, and we do not claim to work in person from one end of it to the other. The part we know well is West Kent and the Weald: market towns, villages and the businesses that serve them. Clients further afield work with us by video call, which is how most projects run anyway.
Kent businesses we already work with
Most of our Kent work is in Tunbridge Wells. We built and support the websites for The Gallery, a salon on the High Street, and Bora Studio, a reformer pilates and osteopathy studio. Both were designed by Matt Ollive and built by us as custom themes.

Searching a county, not a town
People looking for a web designer here often search for Kent as a whole rather than a particular town, and far more people search that way than for any single town nearby. Your own customers may well do the same.
That affects how your site should be set up. A Weald business serving a spread of villages usually does better with a service-area Google Business Profile and a few well-written pages for the towns that matter than with a thin page for every village. We plan that structure before anything is designed.
Rural and appointment-led businesses
A lot of West Kent trade comes from farms, venues, trades and practices whose customers are spread out and travel to them. For those businesses the website has one main job: help people check you are the right fit, see where you are, and get in touch or book.
We keep those sites quick on a patchy mobile signal, put opening hours, directions and contact details within a tap or two, and connect enquiry and booking forms so no lead goes unrecorded.
